Data We Collect

We collect data in two ways: data you provide voluntarily, and data collected automatically when you browse the site.

Data you provide voluntarily

When you submit the contact form on orani.info/contact, we collect: your name, your email address, and the message text you submit. If you choose to include a phone number in your message, that is also collected. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

Data collected automatically

When you visit any page on orani.info, our hosting infrastructure records: your IP address (truncated after 24 hours), the pages you visited, the time and date of your visit, the browser and device type, and the referring URL if any. This data is collected via server logs and, where you have consented, via analytics cookies.

We do not collect: financial data, identity documents, health records, or any data that could be considered special category data under UK GDPR.

02

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes, each supported by a lawful basis under UK GDPR:

Responding to contact form submissions

Lawful basis: legitimate interests. We use your name and email address to reply to your enquiry. Data is not retained beyond the resolution of the correspondence unless you give explicit consent to receive further communications.

Site analytics

Lawful basis: consent (obtained via cookie banner). Where you accept analytics cookies, aggregated data on page views and referral sources is used to understand readership patterns. We do not build individual user profiles.

Security and infrastructure

Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Server logs containing IP addresses and request data are retained for up to 30 days to monitor for abusive traffic, spam submissions, and other security concerns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

03

Cookies

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a site. We use three categories of cookies: functional, analytics, and preference cookies.

Functional cookies are strictly necessary for the site to operate correctly. They do not require your consent. Analytics and preference cookies require your consent, which is collected via the cookie banner shown on your first visit to the site.

You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page. For full details of the cookies in use, see our Cookie Policy.

04

Data Retention

We retain data for no longer than is necessary for its stated purpose:

  • Contact form submissions: retained for 90 days following resolution of the enquiry, then deleted.
  • Server logs (IP address, access records): retained for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Analytics data (where consent given): retained in aggregated, anonymised form for up to 24 months.
  • Cookie consent records: retained for 12 months to avoid re-prompting on return visits.

05

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification. You may ask us to correct any inaccurate data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure. In certain circumstances, you may request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to restrict processing. You may ask us to limit how we use your data while a complaint is being resolved.
  • Right to object. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected] or by post to 57 Lamb's Conduit Street, W1F 9SS London, United Kingdom. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
